NEW UPDATE HAS BEEN RELEASED! How to Fix the Future: Chapter 2, Part Two(2) (v0.3.2) is now available for $30!

I'm happy to announce that the new update is finally out! This is gonna be a long read, but I'll add the most important information at the beginning.

Release dates for other tiers:

  • $20 (Level 5 Agent): Thursday, August 1
  • $15 (Level 4 Agent): Saturday, August 3
  • $10 (Level 3 Agent): Wednesday, August 7
  • $5 (Level 2 Agent): Monday, August 12

Changelog v0.3.2 (Chapter 2, Part Two(2)):

  • 983 Full-HD renders.
  • 31 Full-HD animation.
  • 93 music tracks (replaced almost all music in the game due to licensing issues).
  • 4 sound effects.
  • 3 unlockable special renders.
  • Completely reworked main menu and UI.
  • Completely reworked info screen.
  • Added new character screen. Now you can view information about each character, their score and see a list of events and choices that you have made.
  • Added new screen where you can view and change your fetishes & preferences. This feature is experimental and it is not recommended to make changes to these variables on your main playthrough.
  • Minor changes to previous scenes.
  • Fixed typos.

If you come across any bugs or typos, please report them to my discord server.

This update is approximately 2 hours long. Maybe even 2 and a half if you are a slow reader.

Explanation of numbering:

Now, I know it may be confusing. But I have to explain. The previous update was also the second part of the second chapter. But this update is actually the second half of the second part of the second chapter... I know, I know. I'm sorry, lol. This update was planned to be a smaller scene and be included in the previous update. But I decided to make it a one big event as a separate update. And I just couldn't find the right title so as not to confuse people even more. So it's just the same title but a newer version. Hope you all get it.

I actually plan to completely renumber the chapters in the future. But more on that later.

An important notice!

Due to some changes to the code and coz my hands grow from the wrong place, you'll probably have to start a new game. Unfortunately, some saves now may load from a wrong spot, an error might pop up, or you might face some other bugs during your game. A new info screen now will also be available either from the beginning or starting from the current update. And even if your saves will work, some events will be missing from the new character screens. So to make sure everything works smoothly and as intended, I urge you to start a new game. I planned and coded my game so that changes to the code would not require starting a new game. I even promised you that. But alas, something went wrong. Trust me, I did everything I could to fix this. And I apologize for failing. Luckily my game isn't that big and you can use skipping to replay it faster.

A few words about this update, development process, my plans for the future, and other thoughts (if you're interested).

This development cycle wasn't easy, I faced many challenges during this long 8 months. Nevertheless, I made it. And I appreciate your patience, understanding and support. Working on this update was very hard for many reasons. The environments I prepared for this update were complex and hard to work with. The scenes were generally heavy and difficult to lighten, pose and navigate in. Replacing almost all of the music in the game was a tremendous amount of work either. I had health issues, emotional breakdowns due to the situation I live in, creative blocks, power blackouts and many many more reasons why it took me so long including personal and family stuff. I tried to be professional and did not talk about everything happening in my life in my dev reports. Only occasionally mentioning some things. But I did my best and worked as hard as I could every day, as always. This is why I never set or promise release dates in advance. This time I had to postpone the release three times or even more. And each time, I felt the weight of responsibility more and more.

Anyway, I've finally finished this update and it's time to talk a bit about it and my plans for the future. As I already mentioned, this update is basically one big event. That means there isn't much progress in the main plot. That I saved for the next update. Where I'll focus on moving the main story forward and focus on girls and relationships less. Some might love it, others don't, but I'm thinking about the whole game in general. Not separate updates. And when you'll play a complete game it would make sense. Keeping the balance between the main story and relationships in this kind of game is hard. You can expect a very fun interaction with several main girls and even with a few extras in this update. Many lewd scenes and lots of shots :) I also finally made a scene I've been looking forward to since day one of working on this game. And I can't wait for all of you to see it.

I've already mentioned that I want to change the chapter numbering. Perhaps I will do that after the next update. I added parts to chapters coz I thought I'd work faster when I only started. Now I see how long it takes me to make an update and I have to make some corrections. I'll make each part a separate chapter. Here's an image of how it's gonna look like.

So I'll have 6 chapters after the release of the next update. And the 7th Chapter will be the last in "Book 1" which I plan to release on steam. That's when I'll have enough content and will move the story to the point where it's logical to have a complete game. That's basically the main reason why I want to change numbering. Because it's weird to have so few chapters in one "Book". As for the whole story, I plan two books in total. So I guess you could say we are almost in the middle. But it's not 100% so it might change later. Will see how much content I can create and squeeze into chapters. But tentatively, two books of 7 chapters each are planned right now. I'll start working on steam page closer to the end of the year. So as soon as it is ready, I'll let you all know and of course, I'll ask you to whishlist it :) I'll probably have to do some extra work to prepare the game build for steam, but I'll worry about that when the time comes. I'd like to release it on steam next summer.

I hope I haven't confused you with all this extra information. But all of this will happen later. For now, the numbering stays the same to not confuse people beforehand :)

I'll take a small break to recharge my batteries(literally and figuratively) and will start working on the next update in a few weeks. I'll also resume work on patrons' rewards such as wallpapers and special renders. Which I paused for a few months to focus on the release. So you can expect new polls for them soon.

Thanks to everyone who supports me and the development of the game. Without you, this game wouldn't be possible.

I really hope you'll enjoy this update! I've put so much effort into it. Have fun and stay safe.

Can you Tell, when you will update the Walkthrough-PDF as well?

Deleted 47 days ago

No one forces you to buy it now. Other players are paying this price to play early. The regular price is $10 and it will be available at that price on Wednesday, August 7.

cant you just give the option to pay for a full game ? like pay once and get all future content. Dont get me wrong, i love your game, but would like to know what the price will be for the full release of the game, not keep paying chapter by chapter

The full game cost 10$. You pay once. You just get new updates later if you paid the regular price. Patrons and those who purchased on itch by higher price get updates earlier. So I just increase itch prices for a few days to match my patreon tiers on new releases. That's it. Consider this as an early access.

You don't have to pay twice or by chapter. Just wait until it's available for $10.

oh, now i understand. Im sorry man.  I belived i had to wait a while for it to go down to 10 bucks, and then buy the  new content again. I will redo the review i made Thanks for quick response :)

So this is now a $30 game? I paid $10 (You purchased the game on 2023-05-18 22:01:57 for $10.00) and now my download library only enables me to download Chapter 1 v0.2.6.

No. Check release dates for other prices in this post:

  • $20 (Level 5 Agent): Thursday, August 1
  • $15 (Level 4 Agent): Saturday, August 3
  • $10 (Level 3 Agent): Wednesday, August 7
  • $5 (Level 2 Agent): Monday, August 12

You'll be able to download the new update on August 7 if you purchased it for $10. Or if you like to play it earlier you can pay extra and download right now.

Consider this as an early access extra fee. Normal price is $10.

Ah, okay. I understand now. It is a bit odd that only CH1 v0.2.6 shows up as downloadable in my library, though. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Appreciated.

Because I replace previous files so you no longer see the previous version you purchased. Probably not the best way to do it, but otherwise it'll be a mess of different versions in one place and people may get confused about what build should they download.

100% Behind the new naming convention. Easier to follow, and future proof too.
