Several reasons, and I point at them from time to time in my public dev updates. But in short:
The largest and most devastating war since World War II is raging in Ukraine, with all the consequences that come with it.
A massive amount of planned content. This will be my biggest update yet, featuring main story progression, many lewd scenes including scenes for three different paths. Combine that with the first point, limited work time, and a heavy emotional toll.
Power issues. Again, tied to the war. Frequent blackouts mean I can’t always work on my PC.
Some scenes are particularly complex, demanding extra attention to detail and more time to get them right.
In short, if there were no war and I were living a normal life, this game would be my top priority. I’d pour all my time and energy into it with joy. In the current situation, that’s a luxury. So, I’m just going with the flow, working as I can, and the update will be ready when it’s ready. I could cut planned scenes or simplify them to release faster, but I want the game to match my original vision, not chase quick releases or profit. Yes, development is taking a while, but I hope it’s worth it and players will appreciate the effort, even if it means a longer wait.
That said, I’m on the home stretch, and the update is almost here. Stay tuned for news on my pages!

Secondly I am sorry to hear that the war in Ukraine is affecting you so heavily. I can only imagine how much that must suck.
Third: I can only assume your regular supporters are ok with supporting you through all this. If it were me, I would think I should only be paying for a product rather than to sustain you through this crisis. Thats the Ukrainian Governments job, not your supporters...

The release is sliding to summer. Planned to release it this month, but I haven't finished all I planned. I have still a lot of work left. I really hope in June.
No, Patreon is for subscription and regular monthly payments if you want to support me or get the latest updates and other bonuses I offer there. It's up to you. Some just subscribe to get a new update and then cancel, others support on a longer basis.

Yes. Just delete the previous version and install a new one. Saves will stay intact.

Hey, one more comment, now that I've finished. In the simulation when Chloe is messing with you,
why is the MC such a little crybaby about getting a vagina? I've already spyed on the
teacher and liked it, and I enabled the scene at the warning, so can't it be a little more positive?
Other than that, I really enjoyed this game so far. I love the different aspects
you've included, and the different types of character, all of which play their roles well.
I look forward to future updates, and I with Itch would fix this damn dialogue box.
